Dodgers NLCS: Chris Taylor Held Out of the Lineup One Day After Injury Scare (Dodgers Nation)



The Dodgers and their fans got a little bit of a scare on Friday night during the NLCS Game 5 win. Chris Taylor went down on a play in the outfield and immediately grabbed at his ankle. Although he stayed in the game, he was pulled in the next half-inning for testing. 

On Saturday morning, Dave Roberts revealed that Taylor did not need any sort of imaging done on his ankle. That means that the Dodgers medical staff did not deem the injury serious enough to warrant an x-ray or MRI. He was moving around okay prior to Game 6, and Dave Roberts fully expected him to be available should the need arise. 

The Dodgers opted to sit Taylor in Saturday’s game. It’s unclear at this point whether that was based on matchups or based on his injury alone, but likely a combination of both. Taylor is just 2-for-14 this series and has already struck out 7 times.
