We seriously can’t have nice things. On the same day that he attributed his early success to finally feeling healthy, Corey Seager exited a game early with what was termed “low back discomfort.” On Saturday, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts listed the shortstop as day-to-day as he recovered from this frustrating but hopefully minor issue.
Additionally, Roberts explained that Seager did undergo a scan after his exit, and provided an outlook on the next day or so.
Thankfully for Corey Seager, a scan showed no damage in his lower back. Dave Roberts said he felt better already after the game last night. He will undergo treatment today and be reevaluated further from there.

There was a scan taken last night, which was clean … [Friday] night there was less discomfort — that was encouraging. I don’t see him doing any baseball activities today. It’s still day-to-day, but very encouraged.
With Seager’s history, the wonder was whether the team would consider getting him off of his feet a little more often with DH days. Roberts says no dice just yet.
