Corey Seager had Dodgers fans holding their breath on Friday when he had to exit the game. In the middle of an inning, Seager called the training staff out and left the field quickly. He was replaced in the lineup by Enrique Hernandez.
Seager apparently tweaked his back a little bit on a diving play earlier in the game. Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts confirmed that he left the game due to some back discomfort. As of Friday night, he was having tests done and was being listed as day-to-day.
Seager is day-to-day with lower back discomfort. He’s not playing tomorrow.

With the latest development and tests still pending, Roberts confirmed that Seager can be counted out of Saturday’s lineup. The Dodgers will have to lean on Chris Taylor and Hernandez in his absence if he is required to miss any period of time.

Seager was one of the hottest hitters on the team going into Friday, he had a slash line of .340/.389/.600 with 7 extra-base hits. He had walked 3 times and struck out just 5 times on the season….
