As the sports world continues to unpack a lot, we also continue to parse the responses of Dodgers players from Saturday’s FanFest. While many players from that fateful 2017 World Series team that was likely cheated out of a championship have spoken their piece about the frustration of it all, one player not on that team gives us another side of emotion.
Max Muncy was in the Dodgers organization in 2017, but did not make his blue debut until the 2018 season. However, he did spend time with the big league club throughout spring training in 2018 and could sense that the clubhouse was still in pain.
You could see how much it hurt them and then this comes out. So you feel for those guys. They definitely hurt. And, if you remember, we struggled for a couple months there, and I don’t care what anyone says, I think that has something to do with it. When you’re that close, it’s heart-wrenching, and it’s tough to get it back.
