Dodgers Have Reportedly Inquired on All-Star Reliever Josh Hader (Dodgers Nation)



The Dodgers are among the teams who have inquired on Brewers star left-handed relief pitcher Josh Hader, according to Ken Rosenthal.

The Yankees and Mets are also interested, with the Yankees being the most aggressive club in their pursuit of Hader. However, Rosenthal reports a deal with any club is unlikely due to the Brewers’ high asking price.

In some cases, sources say the Brewers asked for a package that included at least one top prospect. Teams, however, are hesitant to part with such an asset for a reliever, even one as good as Hader.

The cost for Hader should be high, as the Brewers know well. He has won the Trevor Hoffman Award as the top reliever in the National League for the past two seasons and is only 25 years old.

He is projected to make $4.6 million this season and has four years of team control left before becoming eligible for free agency in 2024.
